Refund Policy
Two different kinds of money move through Claybench, and they have different refund paths. This page covers both in plain language.
Claybench subscriptions
Subscriptions are billed through Stripe on a monthly or annual basis and you can cancel any time — you keep access through the end of the period you paid for, and nothing renews after that. If you were charged for a plan within the last 14 days and Claybench isn’t working out, email us and we’ll refund that charge in full, no questions asked. Outside that window, canceling stops future renewals but a current-period charge is generally non-refundable, except where local law requires otherwise. Any free trial ends before the first charge, so canceling during a trial means you are never billed.
Purchases from studios
Pottery, classes, workshops, class passes, memberships, gift cards, and studio supplies are sold by the studio, not by Claybench — the studio sets its own refund and cancellation policy and fulfills your order or class. Start any refund request with the studio (their contact details are on their Claybench page); approved refunds are returned to your original payment method through our payment processor.
When a studio cancels a class
If a studio cancels a class or session you paid for online, you are entitled to a refund or — if you prefer and the studio offers it — a credit toward another class.
Gift cards and passes
Gift cards and class passes follow the issuing studio’s policy and applicable local law. Where local law grants stronger rights (for example on gift-card expiry), the law wins.
Payment disputes
Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank — a chargeback is slower for everyone and we can usually resolve the issue directly. For purchases from a studio, we can help mediate but the studio’s refund policy governs the outcome.
Stuck?
If a studio isn’t responding, or something looks wrong with a charge, email info@claybench.app with the charge details and we’ll help sort it out.
